2019 Show Schedule

The show schedule will be published here in July along with the details of how to enter. 

In addition each household in Hampton will have a copy delivered to their door. It will also be available in outlets in Hampton - to be confirmed.  


Closing date for entry forms is Saturday September 14th.  

Competition rules

You can enter multiple sections but only one per class - for example in the vegetable section you can enter carrots, potatoes, leeks ect but only one plate of each vegetables per person.  


All exhibits must have been grown or made by the exhibitor with the exception of floral art. All other sections must be the exhibitors own work including photography.


The judges reserve the right to visit exhibitors gardens before or after the the show to inspect any produce entered into the show. The judges decision is final. 


All exhibits to be brought to the show marquee on the day of the show between 8.30 and 10.30. Exhibitors will be given a class card for each exhibit, which should be placed name side down until judging is complete. Any signature/identification marks on exhibits should be covered.


Photography section. All photographs should be displayed on a rigid A4 mount - no frame or folders. A photograph can only be entered into one class. 


Points are awarded for first (5 points), second (3 points) and third (1 point) place in each class. Points accumulate towards relevant trophies in  individual sections. Points awarded in all sections accumulate towards Overall Show Winner Trophy.   


Trophies need to be returned to show secretory one month before the next show. Names can be engraved on the trophies in a way which allows subsequent winner names to be added.


Marquee is cleared at 10.30 to allow judging to begin at 10.45. The Show Marquee will open to the public at 1pm. 


Trophies will be presented at 4.30. Please do not remove exhibits until presentations have been made. 


Any exhibits not cleared away by 5.45 will be disposed of, unless arrangements have been made in advance with the show secretary.
